Art & The Spoken Word June 21st
You are cordially invited to Thursday Gig on Thursday, June 21st, from 5-9pm. This is an outdoor event featuring Visual Art, Potluck, Memoir Reading with an Open Mic following (memoir, fiction excerpts, poetry). Megan Diddie Draw Breath These portraits are of good friends, acquaintances, and family. I’ve spent a significant time with most of these people and drew them while I was talking to them, while they were sleeping, in the park, at their work, in their homes, while they were drunk, and while they were visiting me. I love each and every one of them and they have their stories to tell and I have my stories to tell about them. The outline for the process of creating these portraits has been loose and unpredictable. I draw from life and I use all the lines that I put down on the paper.
