Encaustic Imagery – Embedding and Transfers with Shannon Amidon Take your drawings, images and photos to new level by learning to combine them with ancient art of encaustic. This overview workshop will cover materials selection, how to choose your imagery, embedding, layering and transfer techniques. Proper tools and safety procedures will be discussed. Great for photographers, collage artists, or anyone who wants to give their photos and images an artistic painterly touch. All materials included and no previous encaustic experience needed. Students will go home with a sample board, resource list, instructional handouts and product samples.
