KALEID Gallery is proud to present:

“Synesthesia” by resident artist Jennifer Carrier.

Opens first Friday September 4th, 5pm–9pm with artist in attendance.

Synesthesia is a phenomenon in which information meant to stimulate one of your senses stimulates several of your senses, as when hearing a certain sound induces the visualization of a certain color.

Much like the experience of synesthesia, these works display disparate environments occurring as one. Though there is no single element that each painting shares, they are all distinctly of the same universe. These are dreamscapes where real life elements occur in fantastical arrangements that are both surreal and coherent. This is a universe where pitcher plants tower above the clouds, where 50’s inspired pin-ups with psychedelic skin-tones lounge on distant planets, and where the vastness of sea merges with that of outer space.

Jennifer Carrier is a visual artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. Jennifer has been painting and drawing from a very young age, and is mostly self taught. Her inspiration comes from a desire to create a peaceful and dreamy world in which she can be. Jennifer has been an art teacher for ten years now, and thrives in helping young ones find their confidence through their own creations.

KALEID is open for viewing this exhibit (and 60 other resident artists on view) Fridays & Saturdays from September 4–26th, 5–9pm.

Free admission. We will have strict safety protocols including social distancing and masks required at all times in the gallery.
