“Shelter” feature exhibition by Brittni Paul Nov. 2020

Art work by Brittni Paul from her Shelter exhibition. KALEID Gallery is proud to present:Shelter by resident artist Brittni PaulShelter: to protect oneself from something harmful, like bad weather. This title was initially given to a piece I completed in October 2019 to describe a mother Pangolin protecting herself and her child in the shelter of a hollow tree trunk. This piece is meant to capture a moment in time where mother and baby are safe in their shelter, much like how we humans shelter-in-place with our loved ones. This exhibition focuses on endangered species sheltered in their homes, weathering out the storm that is extinction. As we sit in our homes contemplating a new way of life, let’s implement eco-friendly habits to protect what’s left of this earthly speck. What better time than now?
