Our Lady Faustus
Acrylic on canvas, 16″ x 12″ (framed 18.5″ x 14.5″)
from the feature exhibit: Vanitas, June 2013

Most likely due to the chauvinistic nature of history, it has only recently been discovered that Our Lady Faustus had also been present during the events described in the story of Faust and had penned her name alongside the famous Doctor, but instead of attempting to repent and suffering the torments of hell, she proceeded with her lavish lifestyle into death and eventually was able to force Mephistopheles himself into her service.
