KALEID gallery is proud to present photographer Joe Claus, and painter Mary Medrano as the two featured exhibits for the First Friday August 3rd gallery walk.

Mary Medrano, About Face: acrylic figurative series.

My paintings come from my imagination and they represent feelings and emotions. The solitary figure represents many things for me. Having lost my mother last year, I felt a profound sense of being alone in the world, so in some respects the women are me. The men are loosely based on my brothers who after my Mom’s passing for a variety of reasons stopped speaking to each other.

Being an optimist, I am hopeful. I know that time will help heal. I look forward to painting multiple figures to represent interaction, communication and love.

42 Central Ave., Los Gatos CA 95030 in the Florentine Village estate. (Click for map here.) The brick patio and gazebos decorated with flowers and Italian looking garden sculpture makes a beautiful setting to share a Pot-luck, Art, Memoirs and Poetry.

This is a Pot-luck event -- so please bring a dish if you can (but don't worry if you can't). BYOB and pop. For mor info, call 408-410-2313.

Just a reminder that there will not be a First Friday JULY (including South FIRST FRIDAYS on SoFA) due to the Fourth of July holiday.
